For five minutes, write about a skill or ability that your character has. How did s/he learn this skill? Is it a rare or common one to have? Would/could your character pass it on to someone else?
Oh, I like the idea of my character having a rare skill. I'm going to my computer right now to dream one up. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm going to follow yours!
I just found you, linking through my followers. I'm glad I did. I'm keeping you bookmarked for more excellent ideas. I'm especially interested to follow you because YA is my favorite genre next to memoir and the autobiographical novel. You also live on the "proper coast" as my daughter calls the east. I'm in Harrisonburg, Virginia and love it. I will be back...
One of the skills that a lot of my characters have is determination. I love writing about that :) And yes, it can be passed on to someone else.
ReplyDeleteAubrie, I think determination is one of the best skills to have (for characters as well as for us). I'm glad it can be shared. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love this blog! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteOh, cool idea! *trots off to work*
