Catch Phrases

We all have specific words or phrases we use in certain situations. What does your character say when s/he's excited? What does s/he say when something goes wrong? How does s/he verbally express surprise or disappointment?

  1. Hi Anna! Thanks for stopping by my blog! My catch phrases are, "Anxiety rippled through her" or "her eyes fell to the floor." or "her shoulders slumped forward in defeat." I'm trying to think up more original ones!

  2. What a fun blog! Thanks for stopping by mine (and following). I have one character who bounces on the balls of his feet when he's excited. Unfortunately all my characters use their faces too much to express myself--I really need to branch out.

  3. Hi Aubrie! My characters are always looking at the floor or at their feet! Maybe they like admiring their shoes... :-)

Thanks, Jackee! My characters make a lot of faces when they're thinking, talking, etc. They'd make great silent film stars. :-)

  4. Hi Anna!! Nice idea for a blog...I have one character a Sineater named Barrow who even though he's depraved(from eating all that sin of course)he still has good manners and does not want to offend anyone so he's always saying, "Sorry. So sorry."
