Omit Needless Words!

As William Strunk, Jr. often said: "Omit needless words!" Take a page of your writing (or someone else's) and cut out any unnecessary words. Try to get as much meaning into as few words as you can.

  2. Do your best to leave out words, or collections of letters even, that could be, but probably are not quite needed, even though you want more than anything to keep them in whatever sentence you may or may not be writing.
